Akan Abdula, Co-Founder
He was born in December 1978 in Skopje, Macedonia, formerly Yugoslavia.
He completed his early education in Skopje and later moved to Türkiye for higher education. He studied Business Administration at Bilkent University on a scholarship and earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, also on a scholarship.
He has more than 20 years of experience in advertising, strategic marketing, brand management, and market research.
He previously served as Research Director at Millward Brown and as Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Grey Istanbul. During his tenure at Grey, he was also a member of Grey Group Worldwide’s Global Strategy Council and was among the 12 strategists leading the council globally.
He served on the Advertising Self-Regulatory Board and has received multiple Gold Effie Awards, including recognition for Türkiye’s most effective product launches and social responsibility campaigns.
He is the founder of FutureBright Research, which later evolved into FutureBright Group. Today, FutureBright Group operates as a data and insight conglomerate serving more than 750 global and local brands. The group has offices in multiple countries and manages projects across more than 35 markets. He continues to provide strategic consultancy to Türkiye’s leading brands.
He is actively involved in the FutureBright Art Foundation. He is the author of the book Unpredictables, which has reached 10th edition since its publication. His strategic thinking was covered by The Daily Telegraph UK. He is a regular columnist for Oksijen and Forbes.
